Following a comprehensive evaluation of the prevailing circumstances associated with global dynamics, it has been determined that ForestCORE 2026 will be held in a virtual format from June 23-25. The virtual format of the conference will facilitate the intended goal of promoting an interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainability, ecosystem services, and nature-based solutions.

We look forward to having you virtually in ForestCORE 2026

FORESTCORE CONFERENCE

About the conference

This conference invites a global and interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainable forest management, expanding beyond traditional timber-focused approaches to integrate ecosystem services and nature-based solutions. Forests provide essential ecological functions alongside economic outputs, requiring careful analysis of trade-offs and synergies. The event will bring together diverse stakeholders to explore scientific, technical, and market-based strategies such as carbon credits and ecosystem service payments. Discussions will be grounded on quantitative analyses and the best available science across forest biometrics, silviculture, planning, and economics. Researchers, professionals, and students worldwide are encouraged to participate, with sessions offered in English (primary language of the conference), Spanish, Portuguese and French.
