Virtual Workshop: Eligibility, degradation and ecosystem integrity in high integrity ARR projects in savannas

$ 100

Format: Virtual
Date: july 30, 2026
Time: 9:00 A.M – 1:00 P.M (COT)
Language: Spanish with English subtitles and English with Spanish subtitles

Topic:

This workshop focuses on assessing eligibility for high-integrity ARR projects in savanna ecosystems, explicitly incorporating the concepts of ecosystem degradation and ecosystem integrity into project assessment and decision-making processes. It explores how these concepts complement traditional eligibility criteria and why they are particularly relevant in ecosystems where there is no clear historical transition from forest to non-forest conditions.

Practical approaches will be presented for developing ARR eligibility maps using GIS tools, integrating criteria aligned with VCS requirements alongside variables related to degradation and ecosystem integrity. The workshop will showcase a replicable methodology for translating these concepts into robust spatial analyses, strengthening the technical justification of certification processes, and contributing to greater credibility and consistency in carbon credit generation.
